High Impact, Low Cost - The Big Easy
It’s very easy to get drawn into activities and events that take a lot of effort with little gain for your group. The Big Easy method helps you plan better.
We talked about events taking us closer to our shared purpose, a step at a time, inching forward, albeit not in a straight line.
This applies to more than events, although choosing events is often where we first practice it.
How do we decide which events and which initiatives to do?
Being clear about the group’s shared purpose is essential when evaluating initiatives. See more here
At the start of a project, or at a periodic planning meeting, you’ll have a mix of ideas for new initiatives, external opportunities (eg awareness days, offers of facilities), external obligations, and activities from the previous year to continue or build upon.
Out of all the possibilities, some will take you towards that shared purpose more than others.
You need to choose which are doable, which might be doable down the track, and which could be more trouble than they are worth.
