Events: Look at your media assets and work out a system
Facebook? Instagram? Linkedin? Substack and your newsletter? Flyers in a shop window? There’s no one place to promote your event so you have to get organised.
The first thing you need to do is work out which online platforms you will use and how they work for you. You should document it to create an easy reminder and reference so that all of your core group members know and understand what the options are.
Even if you have one person managing the online promotion, others should be involved and provide materials needed (text, photos, etc). The person doing the online promotion needs to be part of your core team and understand the purpose of the event and overall project.
